We all know that Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor is something of a party animal! The 26-year-old Geordie, like many people from the north-east, knows how to have a good time and Tenerife seems to be one of his favourite party destinations.

Steven Taylor might be injured at the moment and was on the treatment table in January when Newcastle went on the winter break to the Canary Island, but that didn’t stop Tayls joining his teammates and letting his hair down.

As we featured in an article at the time titled: ‘Newcastle know how to party’, that statement applies to Taylor in particular, as the English centre back was pictured necking a bottle of champagne and snogging a girl.

Well, we’ve come across a video of Taylor, again in Tenerife, but this time from two years ago when he was performing the karaoke classic; Hero, by Enrique Iglesias. It certainly got him the attention of at least one lady…

Not a bad effort from Steven who will be hoping to get back on the pitch sooner rather than later. He told the Independent: “It has been a long, long road. The medical staff have been brilliant. It would have been so much harder without them, and the coaching staff and the gaffer have kept me around the lads.”

Taylor certainly hasn’t been forgotten at the club, as he continued: “Every day they ask how I am and that is a big encouragement. I should be back ready for pre-season training and it has taken a lot of hard work.” Maybe he should put some of that hard work into his karaoke performances for his summer holidays!
