There’s just no stopping Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse right now, as the Senegal star is making life in the Premier League look easy.
Cisse has scored nine goals in eight Premier League matches, with a brace in each of his three games against West Brom at the Hawthorns, Liverpool at St James’ Park and most recently yesterday versus Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.
His second goal against the Swans was a moment of pure genius, as he looked off balance but still managed to delightfully chip the ball over Michel Vorm into the back of the net.
When the likes of £50 million man Fernando Torres at Chelsea and £35m Liverpool striker Andy Carroll make scoring goals in English football look so difficult, it makes you appreciate how well Cisse is doing.
He’s certainly in a purple patch right now and let’s hope it continues to the end of the season and he can propel Newcastle to the top four and Champions League qualification.
Here’s a great photo of Papiss Cisse sitting down near the corner flag at the Liberty Stadium, with an extremely apt advertising board behind him.
Cisse is certainly making life easier for Alan Pardew and Newcastle United…

The one thing to note as I watch Cisse play is he is only second the Jonas in his work rate, which you don’t see much in strikers today.
Cisse gives everything for the team.
“the harder I work the more successful and luckier I get”
Told to me as a kid by the great “wor” Jackie Milburn.
Great worker, that’s for sure
In comparable stats, Cisse is ahead of Messi right now… now thats summit… WOW!!!
