Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Everton in today’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley has all but guaranteed Newcastle’s qualification for Europe next season.
I was begrudgingly supporting Liverpool today and despite gifting Everton the lead, they came good and former Newcastle striker Andy Carroll scored the winner.
With Liverpool’s passage to European football already secured through winning the Carling Cup and the other semi-final being played between Tottenham and Chelsea, Newcastle’s rivals for the top four, it means the Magpies can get their passports ready.
Alan Pardew’s men are currently 12 points ahead of 7th placed Everton and with just five games left in the season, you’d have to think that Newcastle will finish in the top 6 and hence qualify for the Europa League at the very least.
Who knows, with fourth spot still a possibility, Champions League qualification isn’t out of the question by any means.
So Newcastle fans, dig out the below and get ready for a European adventure…

well done on Carling cup you must feel like one of the best teams in Europe like challenging for champions league… oh wait no your not that good. as for medals championship medal is probably as appreciated as Carling.
