Spirits will be high as Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United travel to Craven Cottage tomorrow to take on Fulham in the Premier League. However, one Newcastle old boy will be looking to bring the Magpies crashing back to earth…

• Fulham were unable to take advantage of having an extra man for much of the game against Blackburn as they suffered a 3-1 defeat in their last league game.

• Damien Duff scored the consolation goal for Fulham in that game and also covered the most ground for Fulham with 6.03 miles.

• That was Duff’s first Barclays Premier League goal of the season, despite having had 14 efforts at goal.

• Duff has also delivered 39 crosses this season, yet has contributed just one assist.

• Newcastle secured a battling win over QPR in their last league game.

• Jonas Gutierrez covered the most ground for Newcastle in that game with 6.37 miles.

• Gutierrez’s attacking wing play has also contributed 29 dribbles and 37 crosses completed this season, along with 27 shots at goal.

• Leon Best scored the winner in a game that saw QPR pick up four yellow cards.

• Best has four Barclays Premier League goals to his name this season from 19 efforts with 58% on target. He has also contributed three assists.
