2: Newcastle 5-1 Sunderland – There’s nothing like beating the neighbours, but absolutely annihilating them is even sweeter! Newcastle ran Sunderland ragged in that match and were good value for the result, with a Kevin Nolan hat-trick and Shola Ameobi brace doing the damage. Oh, and former Magpie Titus Bramble got sent off; it was just a shame that the Mackems got a late goal.
