As reported by the Sun, Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has been casting keen eyes over the situation of Arsenal youngster Kristopher Da Graca as the Spaniard lines up a potential move.
The young Swedish defender is understood to have been told he can leave the Gunners and it’s thought the Magpies have made an enquiry in regards to potentially bringing him up to the North East for training. A powerful centre-back, he will be a free agent at the end of the campaign and Benitez is thought to be monitoring.
He’s previously been linked with European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain, such is the nature of his ability to bring the ball out from the back in a central defensive area. Isaac Hayden, though more experienced, was a fellow signing from Arsenal and has since proved to be a huge success on Tyneside.
Newcastle have been paying more attention to their burgeoning ranks of late, having brought in the likes of Juanito and Victor Fernandez from Spain this season.
