With so much going on at Newcastle United right now as Rafa Benitez and his staff desperately trying to keep up the momentum fueling their promotion push, it’s easy to forget Rolando Aarons’ career took another huge blow.

Back in November, the club confirmed the 21-year-old would miss the entirety of the campaign after suffering a cruel ACL injury in training.

It’s the most serious injury of the England U20 man’s career thus far, though his attempts to truly break into the Magpies’ first-team have been blighted by constant niggles ever since he emerged.

So it was at least promising to see the ex-Bristol City trainee post on update on Twitter in a video showing him doing some light work with the ball at his feet at a clinic in Italy.

Clearly a talented player, his rehabilitation is of the utmost importance for the Magpies, who could potentially have a future England international on their hands should his return from injury be managed properly.
