Such is the nature of the time of year we currently find ourselves in, Newcastle United are always likely to be linked with a number of players from up and down the country.

As Rafa Benitez gears up to apply the finishing touches to his promotion challenge on Tyneside, the rumour mill is always likely to go into overdrive.

With funds available to the Spanish coach, the likes of Tom Cairney and Stewart Downing have been touted as potential targets for the Magpies, though the most recent name has come slightly out of left-field.

According to the Sun, Derby County winger Tom Ince is being lined up as a potential £8m target at St. James’ Park, with the Toon certainly a little light in wide areas as things stand.

As big a deal as that would be in shaping the complexion the Championship’s final standings come May, perhaps Ince may not be the only arrival this month.

With that in mind, here’s a look at TWO players who could potentially follow him to St. James’ Park.
