With the festive period now over and all of us back at work, it’s safe to say the January blues really could do with some cheering up.

To make matters worse, Newcastle United recently lost to Blackburn Rovers for the SECOND time this season, leaving Brighton and Hove Albion with a chance to extend their lead to five points in first place.

So, as good as this season has been, the Toon Army could do with something to lighten their spirits right now.

Well, the Premier League’s official Twitter account has tweeted out a video of Newcastle’s famous 3-0 win over Manchester United at St. James’ Park five years ago today.

Goals from Demba Ba and Yohan Cabaye, as well as Phil Jones putting through his own net, helped the Magpies on their way to a famous win over Sir Alex Ferguson’s men on a cold Tyneside night.

Oh, how things change…
