High-flying Newcastle United welcome Cardiff City this weekend, looking to continue their good form of late, a run of wins that has led them to the top of the Championship.
Neil Warnock once again crossing paths with old rival Rafa Benitez adds an extra layer of spice to Saturday’s meeting, though it’s fair to say the fixture is barely the biggest in either club’s calendar.
Still, both sides appear to share a long and relatively unhappy history in terms of housing strikers who’ve led to sour times both by the River Tyne and the River Severn.
In fact, you can even create a pretty dreadful attacking trio out of the players to have turned out for both sides over the past few years, one that’d do little to scare defences.
Perhaps that’s a little harsh on the star man, who proved a good player for the Toon Army, though left under a cloud.
