Ajax, Middlesbrough and Everton could all make a loan offer for Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul, according to the Daily Mail. It is believed that Ajax are looking at Krul to replace Jasper Cillessen who is poised to sign for Barcelona.

Krul’s contract expires at the end of the season, and rather than allowing the 28 year old to leave on loan, and then make his next move for nothing next summer, the Magpies have offered him a one year contract extension. This would allow Newcastle to reconsider the keeper’s position at the end of the season after a loan spell.

The Dutch keeper has almost recovered from a knee injury which has kept him out since October but he won’t get much game time at St James’ Park with Matz Sels first choice and three other keepers in Rob Elliott, Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman all in contention. The Magpies are willing to pay part of Krul’s £60,000 a week wages in any loan deal, and it looks like Ajax are the frontrunners with both Middlesbrough and Everton also making their interest known.
