Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul is interesting both Everton and Crystal Palace, according to the Shields Gazette. The Dutchman has just one year left on his contract at St James’ Park and could be a high profile departure.

With manager Rafa Benitez having already bought Matz Sels for £5million, and having Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow also at his disposal, Krul could find that he is not needed on Tyneside and the Magpies may want to cash in before his contract expires next summer.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman is looking at his fellow countryman Krul as a potential replacement for Tim Howard who departed for MLS while Crystal Palace Alan Pardew is keen to link up with the 28 year old after working together previously at Newcastle.

The Dutch international is currently recovering from a ruptured cruciate ligament injury and was left out of the preseason training camp this week in Ireland, despite team mate Elliot being behind him in his recovery from a knee injury.
