Juventus and Liverpool appear to be the two main clubs interested in signing Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle, according to ESPN FC sources close to the Magpies.

Juve are bracing themselves to losing Paul Pogba after it has been reported that Manchester United and the French playmaker have agreed personal terms in preparation for a transfer fee being agreed between the two clubs. A first offer of €101m is believed to have been rejected by the Serie A champions from United for Pogba but a second bid  closer to the €125m demanded by the Italian club could seal a transfer.

In light of this, Juventus have looked at Sissoko as a potential replacement but the player has already expressed an interest in staying in England. ESPN  FC says that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a keen admirer of Sissoko but after the Reds agreed a £25m fee for Sissoko’s teammate Georginio Wijnaldum, it’s unlikely they will make a double swoop.
