Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is believed to be after two more signings before the end of the transfer window, according to the Evening Chronicle.

Talking to the media, the Spaniard admitted that the club are looking for more signings although there are cautious about the exorbitant prices that are currently being floated on the transfer market.

“We are working and trying to improve the squad. It’s not easy now and the market is quite crazy. There are crazy prices everywhere but we will try to do our best.”

It is believed that one of the positions the Magpies boss is looking to improve is in the forward line with the clus linked with a £13million bid for Fulham striker Ross McCormack despite Newcastle already having bought Dwight Gayle from Crystal Palace for £10million, whilst also having Ayoze Perez, Aleksandar Mitrovic and youngster Adam Armstrong in the squad.

The other position Rafa is looking at is most likely in midfield with the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum to Liverpool and the anticipated exit of Moussa Sissoko. The Frenchman has been heavily linked with Real Madrid and Juventus in the foreign press in the past week.
