Real Madrid manager Florentino Perez has turned his sights to signing Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko after the Spanish club were beaten to the signature of Valencia and Portugal international midfielder Andre Gomes by arch rivals Barcelona.

The Spanish daily Sport believes Real manager Zinedine Zidane had suggested Sissoko as a potential alternative if they lost out on Gomes and it now looks likely the Champions League winners will make a bid for the 26 year old.

Real were prepared to pay between €30m and €40m for Gomes but are not prepared to pay a similar sum for Sissoko, while finances aren’t something you need to worry about as with your Netbet promo code you can have a punt for free. The Magpie have set an asking price of £35million which could make negotiations difficult but Sport believe Perez will offer Magpies boss Rafa Benitez a number of Real players in a part exchange deal to allow a move to take place. Everton and Juventus are also believed to be interested in the French international with the former believed to be preparing a £30m bid according to the Northern Echo.
