Koulibaly has been an impressive member of the title-chasing Serie A side since moving to Naples from Genk in 2014.
Despite playing for France under-20’s in his younger days, the 24-year-old has opted to represent Senegal at international level and would add an assertive presence at the heart of the Newcastle defence if he was to join the club.
