Newcastle target Wilfried ZahaNewcastle United and Crystal Palace are both interested in out of favour Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha according to the Express and Star.

Zaha has been largely left out by Man United manager David Moyes since making the move from Palace to the north-west last season and is thought to be keen to get his career up and running again.

Man United paid £10 million for the Englishman’s services 15 months ago, but would be available for a bargain half price deal of £5m this summer.

Still only 21 years of age, it would be no surprise if Zaha, currently on loan with Premier League strugglers Cardiff City, returned to south London, especially if Crystal Palace were to retain their top flight status.

Newcastle are in desperate need of a pacey and skilful player of his ilk, but while he would excite the St James’ Park faithful, would Alan Pardew be so keen on a player in the similar vein of Hatem Ben Arfa?

If Newcastle didn’t pick up the Ivory Coast-born player, then the likes of Aston Villa and West Brom would lead a list of keen suitors for one of England’s most exciting talents.
