If you’ve been stuck under a rock for the past five days, you might not have noticed that Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew headbutted Hull City midfielder David Meyler at the weekend.
You’d have been hard pressed to have missed it, given how that the football media have overblown the incident that occurred in Newcastle’s 4-1 Premier League victory at the KC Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Graeme Souness and Alan Shearer even called for Pardew to be sacked, but Pards has ‘got away with’ a £100,000 fine and whatever the FA throw at him in the coming days.
