newcastle hand ballNewcastle United may have lost 3-2 to Chelsea in the quarter finals of the FA Youth Cup at St James’ Park earlier this week, but they may have unearthed their very own Diego Maradona!

England fans still shiver at the thought of Diego Maradona’s Hand of God and on Tuesday Newcastle’s Olivier Kemen made his very own attempt to recreate the situation as the picture above shows.

Greg Olley’s free-kick was punched in and somehow the referee failed to notice the offence and gave the goal, which put Newcastle on level terms.

Adam Armstrong went on to give Newcastle a 2-1 lead but Chelsea turned the match around to progress to the semi-finals and prevent huge uproar from the Blues.

Kemen, who Newcastle signed from Metz, didn’t seem too bothered about ‘cheating’ anyway.
