Championship club Reading want Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling on loan according to the People.
With the loan window now open for Football League clubs, teams in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 will be looking to swoop for some unwanted players in the Premier League.
Dan Gosling is one of those, as the 24-year-old midfielder has failed to kick on at all at St James’ Park since joining from Everton in 2010.
Part of the problem is that he is often injured, which is why Newcastle have been unable to get rid of him to date as he failed a medical with Crystal Palace earlier in the summer, ending hopes of a move to South London.
This season Gosling has been involved for Newcastle in the Capital One Cup and actually put in a pretty good performance against Morecambe in Round 2.
The midfielder made two goal-line clearances from set-pieces to ensure that Rob Elliot kept a clean sheet and got forward well, even if his finishing was a little off.
Gosling could do a good job at Reading under Royals manager Nigel Adkins, but his future at Newcastle looks bleak at best.
