The Norwich v Newcastle score prediction

Newcastle United head into this weekend’s Premier League encounter with Norwich City at Carrow Road in all kinds of trouble. The Magpies are slipping down the table and in recent weeks it’s been hard to see where a win might come from. Alan Pardew’s men still haven’t won away from home in any competition this season, so is another defeat on the cards this Saturday against the Canaries? Let’s see what the odds say.

If I was a betting man I wouldn’t be putting my money on Newcastle right now. Ahead of their defeat against Championship outfit Brighton in the FA Cup last weekend, the Magpies were the underdogs given their poor run of form, which is almost unheard of and slightly embarrassing. However, the performance and result that followed would have left even more people with red faces in the north-east.

So, you won’t be surprised that Betegy, a leading football prediction website that bases its projections on statistics, is predicting that Newcastle won’t be coming away from Carrow Road with all three points this weekend. Statistically, the most likely result is a 2-1 victory for Norwich, with a 1-1 draw being the second result they’d expect.

Betegy uses an algorithm of both present and past data to predict football matches, so in addition to Newcastle’s poor form, their 4-2 loss at Carrow Road last season has also been taken into account. Betegy state that they have an optimum accuracy of approximately 80 %, so it’s more than likely that Newcastle won’t be doing the double over Norwich after beating them 1-0 at St James’ Park earlier this season.

If Newcastle have been your accumulator buster over the years (I know they have been for me!) then Betegy provide stats and predictions for every game in the Premier League, in addition to the top leagues in Spain, Germany, Italy and France.

So let Betegy crunch the numbers for you and give you a better chance of coming away with a positive result this weekend, even if Newcastle United don’t!
