Newcastle United kick off their 2012/13 Premier League campaign against Tottenham Hotspur at St James’ Park on Saturday 18th August, which is also a very important day for the duo that make the Magpies a force to be reckoned with, Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba, as it’s the last day of Ramadan.
We can’t wait for the new Premier League campaign to get underway after Alan Pardew’s heroics with Newcastle last season, and Pards will be looking to his Senegalese duo of Cisse and Ba to fire the Magpies to an opening day victory against Spurs.

If there’s one reason why the Dembas may have a sluggish start to the season it’s because of Ramadan, which really impacted Ba last year as the Senegalese striker struggled to find the back of the net in his first few matches in a black and white shirt.
Let’s hope it doesn’t have the same affect this season, as Cisse is also fasting during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and his levels of energy could understandably be impacted against Tottenham.
Thankfully the end of Ramadan is coming, with less than four days to go, so the Dembas will be able to get Newcastle’s season off and running in style, but can they both find form at the same time?
That would be Demba squared, and here’s a really cool image of Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba posted by @HassanMBD on Twitter…
Not long to go now!

That’s a really great image. Change the central wording slightly (without the Ramadan reference)and it would make a fabulous T-Shirt.
The only force you will feel is Spurs speed it will be over the legal limit and scorch the Direct Bar Codes pitch. 2-1 to the White hot Silver Spurs
