James Perch - Newcastle defender Newcastle United’s players returned to training this week and while not every member of the squad was in attendance, for those who were involved it would have been a harsh reality that their summer holidays are now well and truly over.

The likes of Yohan Cabaye and Hatem Ben Arfa, who both featured in Euro 2012 for France, were given extra time off, but plenty of first team players were put through their paces at Newcastle HQ.

The aforementioned Newcastle quartet were doing their very own rendition of Robert De Niro’s famous phrase as Travis Bickle in the classic 1970s film Taxi Driver: ‘What you lookin’ at?’

But what do you think Williamson, Perch, Taylor, Simpson and three members of Newcastle’s back room staff were looking at?

Out of interest, from the above quartet, how many of them do you think will make it into Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United starting eleven next season.

If expected Newcastle bring in a new right back, whether that’s Mathieu Debuchy or someone else, and Steven Taylor returns to the heart of the defence, then they could all find themselves on the Magpies bench.
