Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye finally has some time off and it seems like he’s making the most of it.
Yohan Cabaye was a revelation for Newcastle United last season as the 26-year-old hit the ground running in English football.
Despite the goal scoring exploits of Senegalese pair Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse, Cabaye was arguably Newcastle’s best signing, which says it all.
Newcastle’s Chief Scout Graham Carr has said as much, as it’s not often you get a world class player with top level European and international experience for less than £5 million.
Cabaye showed his class at Euro 2012 too, as he was one of France’s better players, was an automatic starter for Laurent Blanc and even found the back of the net against the co-hosts Ukraine.
While other clubs have reportedly shown an interest in Cabaye, the Frenchman seems happy on Tyneside and is even calling for the club to keep hold of Demba Ba.
Cabaye said: “Demba scored many goals for us so it’s going to be important to keep him — and keep all the big players. I hope the board are going to do the right things to keep them.”
Apart from the odd sound bite, Yohan is making the most of some rare time off and his former Lille teammate Sebastien Pennacchio (@Penna83) has posted a picture of them chillin’ in a car in France…
Nice shades! Is there a cooler man than Yohan Cabaye?
