Newcastle United striker Demba Ba’s future continues to look uncertain as there is so much Newcastle transfer news around Ba’s potential exit this summer and as rumours continue to persist about a move to Turkey, the Senegal striker has been spotted in Saudi Arabia.
It is hard to know what transfer rumours to believe, as one minute Ba was joining Galatasaray when they activated his release clause, then the 27-year-old striker was reportedly annoyed with the actions of people he doesn’t class as representing him and now he’s apparently frustrated at being forced out of Newcastle.
There does seem to be some substance on the Galatasaray reports and it is more than likely that Ba has spoken to the club about a £7 million deal, but that doesn’t mean that he’ll necessary be joining them in the near future.
One thing we do know, is that Demba Ba has been in Mecca with his Senegal international teammates Moussa Sow and Issiar Dia. Ba is deeply religious and being a Muslim is an important part of who he is as a person. A little ironically Sow and Dia both play for Galatasaray’s Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe!
Here is Ba with Sow and Dia is Saudi Arabia…
Let’s hope he doesn’t stop off in Turkey on the way back to Tyneside!
