Over the course of the last week there have plenty of Newcastle United v Sunderland memes doing the rounds, focusing on the Magpies derby hero Shola Ameobi.
Incredibly, Ameobi has now scored seven times in twelve games against Sunderland, showing time and time again that Newcastle can rely upon him against the Mackems.
Six of those goals against Sunderland have been in the Premier League, which is at least twice as many than against any other opponent.

Another stat for you, is that no player has scored more goals against Sunderland than Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi!
Sunderland fans must be sick of the sight of the 30 year old striker, who might just bring up double figures in terms of times netted against the Mackems before the end of his Newcastle career.
Whoever Newcastle have in their line-up, Ameobi should be an automatic starter in the Tyne-Wear derby, and this meme posted earlier this week captures that brilliantly…
