While Newcastle United might not be playing again for over a week, their loanee at Cardiff City Haris Vuckic has already made his mark at the Welsh club.
In just his second start for the Bluebirds the Slovenian opened his account for Cardiff and was named as the Man of the Match by the local press; not bad for a 19-year-old.
Cardiff took on Peterborough United at the Cardiff City Stadium and emerged as 3-1 winners to bolster their charge for promotion to the Premier League.
Haris got another 77 minutes under his belt after being pulled off at half time at the weekend, made an assist and caught the eye with a goal on 40 minutes.
This is what WalesOnline had to say about Vuckic in their review of the match: “Home debut, playing just behind the two strikers, and what an impact he made. Played a key role in City’s second and scored their third.” They also gave him an 8 out of 10 rating, which all bodes well for Newcastle.
The highlights of the match, including Vuckic’s goal are now up on the BBC Sport website.
