It seems that Newcastle United players are rushing to get on Twitter right now. Papiss Cisse didn’t waste any time in signing himself up (you can follow him @PapissCisse9) and now Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul has joined the party. While the Dutchman’s opening Tweets are nothing to write home about, from the select people he’s following you can get an idea of what Krul’s secret love is.
Krul somehow managed to get his account verified almost instantly, but I suppose when you’re one of The Netherlands’ national team goalkeepers that’s not so hard. Tim is in London this week with Holland set to face England in an international friendly at Wembley, and his opening Tweet was predictably descriptive.

He’s opening gambit yesterday was: “Landed in London .. Getting ready for the training session @ Wembley tonight” as he was in Westminster. He followed that up a couple of hours later with “Exciting week ahead, great game tomorrow.. And definitely looking forward to beat the mackems again on Sunday ..!!!” Aren’t we all?!
Not particularly enthralling stuff, but just take a look at who he’s following. First on the list is Kiefer Sutherland, so Mr Krul must be a big 24 fan. But coming in at number three is his secret, or I suppose now not so secret, love P!nk. If he’s a fan of her music then his Newcastle teammates might keep off music duty in the changing room, but I’m guessing he’s a fan of her looks too.
So, if Newcastle beat Sunderland on Sunday then we know how Krul will be getting the party started! (Yes that was a reference to a P!nk song – keep up!)
