Tiote only at number 85 – are you serious?
There were some stunning goals scored last year, but in my opinion none were as spectacular as Cheik Tiote’s volleyed equaliser for Newcastle United against Arsenal at St James’ Park. The fact that Newcastle came from four goals down and the quality of the strike made it a sensational goal. However, Tiote doesn’t feature as highly as you might think in this compilation of the top 100 goals from last year.
In fact Cheik Tiote only makes the list at number 85! Are you seriously telling me there were 84 better goals last year? As a Newcastle fan I might be a little bit biased, but some of the goals listed ahead of the Ivorian don’t come anywhere near close to his. Fair enough, some of the strikes are absolute beauties, but Tiote’s goal was good enough to at least make the top 50.

there is not much difference between the goal of tiote @ 85 and the one at 11, if anything the one by tiote was weighted much better.

Still makes my spine tingle when I hear the commentary from Justin Lockwood over the Tiote goal. Was at the game will never forget it amazing atmosphere.
