Newcastle United will be very disappointed not to leave Ewood Park with all three points after dominating their Premier League encounter with Blackburn Rovers.
In a match that ended goalless, Alan Pardew’s men dominated possession and created a number of decent chances. The most clear cut of those fell to Peter Lovenkrands, whose lifted his lob onto the crossbar. If ever there’s a match that illustrated Newcastle’s need for a striker this was it, but a special mention has to go to left back Jose Enrique who was simply magnificent and put in a number of excellent crosses.
